This site is an open platform on inclusion in the labour market of vulnerable young NEETs (Not in Employment, Education or Training), where anyone interested will find resources concerning the topic. It is especially aimed at personnel working with the young NEETs and staff of private companies considering engaging in employment of the young NEETs.
The platform’s primary focus is on the group of young NEETs with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), which is a particularly vulnerable group. Studies show that unemployment rates are very high for people with ASD, even compared to other types of disabilities. Thus, there is a great need for finding ways to ensure better inclusion of this group in the labour market.
The platform contains an online training package for personnel and staff, divided into learning modules covering: understanding ASD, ASD and the workplace, inclusion concepts and tools, and e-learning. It is part of the development of sustainable and effective methods based on hands-on knowledge with inclusion of NEETs in the labour market. The platform also contains examples of the inclusion tools used and real-life stories, which can serve as inspiration for further use.
This inclusion platform is the result of a partnership project supported by the Erasmus+ programme. The partners are from Denmark, Romania, and Croatia.
Vertical farming of microgreens using hydroponic facilities is central in the project. The development of the NEET-inclusion method is based on the real-life experiences with NEETs involved in the vertical farming tasks and learning materials about the training.
The NEETs have participated in creating most of the materials found on this platform – including the platform itself.
